Sandpoint, Idaho hosts the "Lost in the 50's" car show around memorial weekend every year. Americana is in full force when a small western town of about 6,000 population shuts down about 12 blocks in the town center and lines both sides of the streets with beautifully restored classic cars. Pedestrians stroll down the middle of the street gawking on both sides. Flags, teenagers in 50's garb, and families in very conservative - almost amish garb, except with colors - all walk around the town enjoying the style and craft of old cars. I hope my photos gives you a flavor of the event.
